Strength training isn’t just for bodybuilders. It can help improve balance, reduce the risk of falls, and increase muscle mass in older adults. Plus, it keeps bones strong and boosts metabolism.
It is recommended that all adults (regardless of age, health, or ability) do 30-60 min of physical activity most days. To prevent falls and maintain independence this should include exercise or activities that improve strength and balance.
