They say that the only certainty in life is death and taxes – and while we get very familiar with the tax system over our lifetime, death can remain a bit of a mystery to us.

Dying to Know Day is an annual campaign encouraging people to start conversations about death. During August, people hold events, gatherings at home, take individual action, and much more, all to improve their knowledge around choice at end of life.

The COTA NSW Dying to Know webinar discusses how to start a conversation with your family and friends, palliative care and organising a funeral.

The discussion is hosted by COTA NSW President Joan Hughes and the panel includes Dr Stephen Ginsborg (COTA NSW Board Director and GP), Susan Goldie (National Lead, End of Life Strategy at community support organisation CCNB), Lee-Ann Wein (a funeral director from Tender Funerals) and Suzanne Gorman (an end-of-life doula).
