What older people really think

When politicians, journalists and members of the general public refer to the opinions or attitudes of older people, they often make assumptions about how we think and feel. Images like the “selfish” baby boomer are based on simple generalities which belie the diverse range of ages, background and beliefs that characterise people in the over 50s age group.

COTA NSW has scythed through the stereotypes with some hard-hitting and surprising insights into the mind of NSW residents aged 50+. Watch the launch of our 2022 50+ report What older people think…, with some high-profile speakers to add their experience and knowledge to the mix.

Feyi Akindoyeni is a communications consultant with Newgate Research, which undertakes research on behalf of COTA around Australia. Feyi will outline the contents of the report.
