COTA NSW has received funds from the Ageing Grants Program, Ageing, Disability & Home Care, Department of Family and Community Services NSW, for a project intended to benefit older gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and intersex (GLBTI) people.
The project will seek to identify opportunities to build capacity in non-government organisations (NGOs) in NSW to promote healthy and productive ageing within this sector of the community. COTA NSW will engage with organisations and service providers that are specifically set up to support GLBTI communities to identify priority issues linked to ageing. The project will also identify relevant NSW NGOs and identify the best strategies to build capacity amongst them so that they can promote healthy ageing for GBLTI people.
