We’ve long had a clear vision of the sort of society we want to bring into being. We’re committed to achieving a more just, equitable and humane society where older people are respected, consulted, included, represented and heard. We are determined that their contributions are valued and that they have access to the opportunities other members of the community take for granted.

While equity is a critical aspect of our agenda, we understand that achieveing it is often a matter of ensuring that the specific needs of our constituents are met. Working with our community, allied organisations, government partners and the media, we ensure the interests and concerns of people over 50 are a priority for those who develop policies, deliver services and shape attitudes.

We also provide authoritative advice on a wide range of important issues. This advice is available in Fact Sheets on this website, over the ‘phone, by mail and in person at our NSW headquarters.
